The summer auction series will run for four consecutive days! We begin with a focus on Great Britain and the British Empire, followed by All World and collections. To conclude the week, we will present a remarkable selection of 451 lots dedicated to the Olympics.

The Great Britain and British Empire catalogue features over 1’700 lots, with Great Britain which includes a strong range of attractive Penny Blacks, Surface Printed with high values, KGV with Seahorses, through to QEII with modern errors, officials and collections. British Empire contains a broad spectrum of material, with notable sections of Bahamas and Barbados; the “Abe” collection of British Levant; Ireland including Bernard Clancy’s propaganda labels, essays, booklets and postal stationery; further portions from the “Overstrand” with K.U.T., Tanganyika and Mafia Island; Malta postal history; South Africa and South-West Africa; and finally Murray Gellatly’s fantastic collection of Morocco Agencies with KEVII and KGV Seahorse issues, showing strength in mint multiples, cancellations and postal history.

The All World & Collections catalogue highlights important sections of Italy & Italian States, Romania, Russia, China and Egypt, Sperati Forgeries, France, Colonies and French area collections, as well as a wonderful section of over 400 one-country and all world collections and lots. The sale begins with ‘Area Italiana’ which mainly features Italian States with two important assemblies of Sicily and Tuscany, offering fresh material which has not been on the market for many years. Additionally, it boasts exquisite proofs and cancels from the Athens 1906 and Paris 1924 summer games. The highlight of the auction is the 1980 Moscow gold winner’s medal won by Linda Margaret Watson. As usual, the auction also features a wealth of Olympic stamp usages, varieties, cancellations, postcards and medals. A significant amount of paper memorabilia and ephemera is also included, in particular tickets and posters, most of which come from the “Bob Christianson” Collection, with over 160 lots from that source.

Last but not least is an outstanding array of worldwide lots being offered in an online auction, the majority of which originated from the “Hausman” Collection.

We are often reminded that without the trust and continued appetite of our passionate and active collector-clients, this sale would not be possible, so we would firstly like to thank all our sellers and future buyers for your lasting support.

Please note that the sale is divided into two currency groups, the All World & Collections with more Sperati Forgeries and the Olympic Games catalogues are in euros (EUR), while the British Empire catalogue is in British pounds sterling (GBP).
